Disney ♥

Childhood ♥

As a child growing up, a lot of interests of mine have changed (: Nah, nothing big. It's just those minor stuff.

My childhood yada yada..

KitKat. My mother used to buy us KitKat in those boxes when we were little but now, inda lagi and I don't know why. Before, we'll always be sufficient of it. I love the KitKat that time. My favourite chocolate now would be Van Houten (: not that I've forgotten the deeds KitKat has done to me, no. Somehow KitKat aren't easily seen just anywhere nowadays. Heh. It's wrapping is RED. I began to notice that few months ago, my bad. Haha.

Mickey Mouse and Garfield. Ahh, two of my favourite cartoon characters as a kid (: I still love Mickey Mouse. Garfield is just a lazy fat cat, but I love him too ♥ my mom used to buy shirts, PJs of them for me. Haha, that's why. Plus I love Disney! Especially the original ones, made by Walt Disney of course. No offence to the new ones, you're cool too ;)

Yam. ICE-CREAM! Haha. I love love love it ♥ ♥ ♥ though some people might not think so, mind you. I was surprised my sister likes yam too. Heh. Good in a way.

I'm one of those people who don't usually like to be 'in common' with most people. Not that it's a bad thing or anything.. like this: at home, my family knows that I'm a durian montong freako, seafood gaga esp prawns and crabs, kolo mee eater and buttermilk chicken maniac. Again, it's not that the others don't eat them, just that I'm more into it than they are (:

So iatah, when them other siblings suddenly are into them, it's weird.. my mom usually buys food according to our interests right, then when you found out that your food is gone it makes you say out "eh mana tia makanan ku ani? sejak bila kau minat jua ani?"

HAHA. When it comes to food, nobody wants to mess with me (: I'm very protective over my food. Oh there are moments when my food was eaten by not me, so I took revenge by eating their food to compensate. So yeah..

That's the reason why my interests have changed.. like like, majority would support Manchester United, so I would choose the next best thing which is Liverpool. Same thing with cars, I used to adore Lexus but nahh.. a friend of mine is more adoring of the brand so I picked Volkswagen Audi Mazda :D *there was this hot sexy black Audi car today at school, me, fai and wilson saw :D*

Another reason is that, I don't want people to think that I'm the one yang ikut-ikutan kan diorang.. you never know right. But yeah, a friend used to say this when I told her about these changes, "c'mon it's your interest. you can't always think of others all the time." banar pulang.. but entah ah. Oh yeah, I used to love green too (:

Wait. There's always this irony though. I mean, when I love this something or love doing this something, some people would just criticize negatively :( but but in the end, they are the ones who end up doing and loving those stuff too. Bad bad. Haha but I'm not really taking those personally, eventhough those people happened to be the people I'm really close with.
so yes :D

KitKat. Mickey Mouse. Garfield. Lexus. Liverpool. Green. Vaining. Pink. Volkswagen. Yam. Durian.

Tarian Poco Poco.

I was reading this post at Fadii's, and she posted something about Poco Poco. I didn't know about that... Haha. It's a good thing I don't know anything about the dance. Aishh. I find the moves... complicated. I found a scoop from Google, an e-mail so the user said. Here's my summary of it.

It is said that the Poco Poco dance originated from the Philippines and NOT from Indonesia. The Filipinos usually perform this dance during a funeral or maybe during their weekly mass prayers. I just realised that this dance DOES make a cross figure
from its moves.

Personally, I don't get why people are into this dance. Sorry.

The writer also said that people nowadays don't seem to investigate new things introduced to them. Damn right. He also said that this is how our religion's enemies get us back. Being influenced by a certain religion or culture results in the followers to respect it as their own. Nauzubilllah. He pointed out about Yoga, which was said to be illegal to us as it symbolizes the Hinddu religion. Even though the Poco Poco has not been fully 'forbidden', it's not too late too stop. I never did Yoga too either. Guess I'm not missing alot in life after all.

And this dance began to be a susupicion to him when the questions like 'why does this dance begin from the left side?' and 'why does this dance look oddly insane?' and so, the e-mail given to him had the answers.

What I have to say is this, it's up to you to believe this or not. Just don't go whining and regretting shits if anything happens to you the next time you do this dance, okay? Especially when you have knowledge about it being against religion.

Edited.
I checked my hotmail a few minutes ago and turned out I, too, got the exact same e-mail. Okay, but I've read it already. Till then.

Poklen.

I found out from Jee. She wasn't happy judging from the tone of her tweet, so I thought of checking it out. Shocking.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

'Poklen' is a prejorative term commonly used to describe a group of young stereotypical teens in Brunei, who are influenced with a bad taste in fashion, who are seemingly low educated and who speak and write aggravatingly. One of the reasons that describe a "poklen" is their hypocritical behaviour and high-ego. Mostly they try to act "cool" and independent among themselves and try to 'show-off' and imitate others and other sub-cultures from the western style.

This community has caused minor controversies among the teenagers in Brunei. "Poklen"s, who's collective age range from their adolescent years to late teens, are usually centralised in the Gadong area and derived from most areas along the Bandar area (Bandar Seri Begawan) and (Kampong Ayer). They usually loiter around central businesses area and shopping centres (i.e The Mall,Yayasan Complex).

Poklens, who are basically males, are also considered as 'stalkers'. They normally hang-out in groups and flirt with attractive girls for their intention to impress them, but are misinterpreted by their immature attitude. They love to stalk girls on instant messenger programs and use the advantage to introduce themselves and propose to them instantly (to form a relationship) but without consideration. Most of the girls encountered would reject.

Use of Language
Poklens have established their own way of speaking, which is a combination of words and dialects to form a mixture of broken English and Village-Malay (Ghetto-Malay). They usually have a style of writing words that are found to be extremely annoying to others. That is because they exaggeratedly type in words that constitute a sentence of misspellings, mixed capitilisations and short letters with an expression of an "X" or a "Z" at the end of each word.

Example of Words/Expressions:

1. AhaKz
2. MuAHaX
3. HeKz,HeKz
4. APaKnZ (Apakan)
5. bHaPazx (Bahapa)
6. C0oLzZZzz
7. hYEz
8. OitZzZ
9. cHuPPy2z (Capi-capi)
10. MiHeRzZ
11. LeFuckZz (Lepak)

Example of a sentence written by a typical Poklen:

"Uitzzz. U aDa BoyPren Udhz?? mE aLuM pLangZ aDa GF Ni, AhAkz. BuLeh beKenaLanZ?".
- "Oi, do you have a boyfriend? I haven't got a GF. Can we introduce ourselves?" -(English Translation)

I can't say I agree with EVERYTHING. This is just mean :( I mean, low educated? Kampung Ayer? I used to loathe these people but then again, we should consider it also. We as Bruneians should help one another. It's almost impossible to find hardly anyone who's never used such language, especially the ones ending with 'Z' and 'X' am I right?

Just let it go mehhh...

Massive Passion.

Waiting For You Park Jaebum.

I was blogging while listening to this song.

I may not know the meaning to the words, but it touched me. It almost made me cry. I don't really know Jaebeom but I do know he's a great performer -singer, dancer and rapper. Some people just love bringing up the mistakes of others and see them crash and fall huh. Like damnit, it was a long time ago! Now he's back to Seattle :(

Oh so Tiqah told me about this. The fans in Seattle did this, it's soo touching (':

"Jay, what time is it? It's 2PM in Seattle"

Something like that. Jaebeom was the former leader of Korea's 2PM, now replaced by Junsu or was it Junho. saranghaeyo jay♥

Vroom vroom.

Yesterday, I drove a manual car! Weeheeee~ :p

Thanks a lot to Naim for trusting me with his car and for teaching me how to operate one (:

I was really scared before, and nervous. I couldn't even see anythingwhen I came in the library a few minutes to 10am. I mean seriously, I had a headache for some reason, and my left eye's vision was blurr.

The car did stop a lot of times cause inda cukup power... Well atleast the people are still in one piece (: and I did have fun accelerating :p semua ampit duduk dapan with me behind the wheel.

Oh btw, ada polis jua that time. HEHE. But thank goodness they didn't charge us or anything.

Anyway, I hope when my actual driving lesson comes I'll be alright (: Amiin.
